Charlie Bare is a Cadet at the USCG Academy. He’s been going to school right
under my nose for the last 3 years and I still haven’t had the honor of meeting this
guy.
Go to his site and check out all the crazy gadgets he creates, from remote control
airplanes, air cannons that shoot things across the Thames River, remote control
stealth robots for spying on Bin Laden and other crazy inventions like an “in car”
video camera for dirt track racing cars. Yup, that’s right.... This guys so crazy he
drives race cars on his spare time.
On top of all that, he develops computer software programs like the Nautical Flags
and Pennants Test. This program helps Coasties learn the names and appearance
of all the nautical letters,number flags and pennants. He has also created a
program that helps you learn and practice receiving flashing lights (Morse code) at
different word per minute speeds. Holy crap this guy has talent, and all of this is
posted on his site for you to use.
That's not all.... The cadets seem to be so busy I can’t figure out how the heck this
guy has time to do all this junk (I think he’s cloning himself or making some sort of
crazy robot that does all his homework). He has one last hobby that has really
caught my attention. He’s my top editor for CGClips.com!!!! He has edited more
videos than me??? Not only does he edit Coast Guard videos, he edits and films
videos of CGA Sports teams like the soccer, football, swimming, volley ball,
basketball, track and field teams, he films the CGA swabs doing all kinds of crazy
stuff around campus, dirt track racing, tributes to fallen soldiers, and everything
